It was hard to say goodbye to the weekend...

On Saturday afternoon I had the pleasure of shooting this lovely lady.

We drove.

We trekked through rough terrain.

We talked. 

We laughed.

We laughed a little more.

And she rocked it. 

Her name is Mackenzie, but I like to call her mac-n-cheese...because if you know anything about Dan and I, we have nick-names for everyone.

Where to start...

This is attempt number 38,210 at writing this post, and still I can not come up with anything clever to say. So, in an attempt to not bore you, I'll let the photographs speak for themselves.

She has a gift, I mean- this girl can sing.
And not only can she sing, but she can play guitar, piano, and put together a mean outfit (please tell me I'm not the only one with just a little jealousy running through the veins?)

dave and jenny...

They have a wild story, and an even more amazing love for each other. I was honored when Dave contacted me about taking their engagement photos this past summer. It had only been 10 years since Dave and I were walking the halls of high school together, so there was just a little catching up to do. 

I can't wait to see where life takes this amazing couple, cheers Dave & Jenny!

Beneath the Acacia Tree

My sister in law has a gift, as I mentioned in this post, she has a passion for writing, adoption, and a slight obsession with this yummy green tea. With three children, two more on the way from Ethiopia, and two dogs, this family of five (soon to be seven) is living for Jesus in beautiful ways.
